Emirates Arthritis Foundation hosts Free Educational Seminar for Patients in the UAE

The Emirates Arthritis Foundation (Link), launched in April 2006 by the Dubai Bone and Joint Center, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai, announced that it will be hosting an open seminar for patients in the first week of February, with distinguished International Speakers who themselves suffer from the disease.
The seminar, which will be held on February first at the Dusit Dubai, is sponsored by Abbott Pharmaceuticals and will include talks by Dr. Gabriele Brieden and Dr. Muhammad Asim Khan.
Dr. Gabriele Brieden will be giving a talk on: "What it means to live with arthritis and how to make the best of it". Dr. Brieden developed the first symptoms of Juvenile Arthritis at the age of eight but was misdiagnosed for many years before receiving correct treatment. An ardent advocate for RA education, she is the author of two books, "Rheumatism-Learn to Live with the Disease" and "New Therapy - Options", which examines treatment with biologics.
