What is Reiki?
Reiki (link) was rediscovered in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui, in 1922, Mrs. Takata brought into to the western world in 1938 and now it is practiced all over the world.

How is it pronounced?
Reiki (ray-key) is made up out of two words, Rei, meaning the Spiritual Wisdom and Ki, the Life Force. It works whether one believes in it or not or even if the client is unconscious, it works on animals, plants anything you wish to give Reiki to.
The combination of the two words is the high frequency healing energy, the highest universal energy. The energy flows into the practitioner and out of their hands to the client who act as channels with the intent of bringing healing to the client.

Who can practice Reiki?
Reiki Master which means I have been initiated by another Reiki Master who opened the pathway enabling me to channel this energy to my clients For many clients who have Reiki healing, the experiences are always different, some go into a dream like state and are fully relaxed, some see beautiful colors, some even say they were on an astral travel.
But the main thing is everybody gets something out of Reiki as it can benefit at four different levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

The aspects of Reiki:
The First Degree - A Practitioner can do hands-on treatments
The Second Degree - Reiki Practitioner is taught the special symbols.
The Third Degree - You are able to initiate others to First, Second and Reiki Mastership
Reiki Master/Teacher - Training as a Reiki Master/Teacher at the discretion of already established Reiki Master.

Emirates Arthritis Foundation hosts Free Educational Seminar for Patients in the UAE

The Emirates Arthritis Foundation (Link), launched in April 2006 by the Dubai Bone and Joint Center, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai, announced that it will be hosting an open seminar for patients in the first week of February, with distinguished International Speakers who themselves suffer from the disease.
The seminar, which will be held on February first at the Dusit Dubai, is sponsored by Abbott Pharmaceuticals and will include talks by Dr. Gabriele Brieden and Dr. Muhammad Asim Khan.
Dr. Gabriele Brieden will be giving a talk on: "What it means to live with arthritis and how to make the best of it". Dr. Brieden developed the first symptoms of Juvenile Arthritis at the age of eight but was misdiagnosed for many years before receiving correct treatment. An ardent advocate for RA education, she is the author of two books, "Rheumatism-Learn to Live with the Disease" and "New Therapy - Options", which examines treatment with biologics.
