The press release was confirmed over the phone by Dr. Khadija from the Pharmaceutical Department of the Ministry of Health in Dubai.

As I found out, the Phytoshape active ingredient is a pure natural fruit extract. It contains hydroxycitric acid. Our body can not store more than half Kg. of glycogen, simply because stored glycogen will give a signal of satiety to the brain with suppression of appetite. As Phyto Shape is thermogenic, it burns fat. It directs flow of blood away from stomach area . This results in appetite suppression. So, simply said: you don't feel hungry.
It is reported most people loose a minimum of 4 kg per month, but some more.

I don't think there is any miracle pill to loose weight!
I have just had my second child, my husbands excuse for his weight gain was my pregnancies???? Anyway our new year resolution was to loose weight, i'm at home with two little ones everyday and my husband works 6 days a week until 7pm.....so exercise i.e going to the gym is a no go...to knackered to even think about it!
Well since Jan 1st, my husband has lost 15kg and I have lost 5kg, we have been doing the Atkins diets....I hate diets but I have to admit it's fantastic....i'm off it now as i have reached the weight I want to be and my husband has 5kg more to loose.
I think if you can find something and you can see the weight coming off then you will keep at it.
The food is lovely! The menu's are quick and easy, but you do have to drop the bread and potatoes, which we love but funny enough don't miss!
Now were just eating sensibly and will go back on it again probably next Jan when we have demolished everything in sight next Christmas!!

I was rather intrigued about Phytoshape after hearing from a friend about it! While at the market yesterday I checked it out. There was minimal info on the outside of the pack, it all seems to good to be true really as I am a BIG chocolate, cheese, icecream etc fan. Anyway it is sold and in stock at The Greens Pharmacy for 250Dhs as mentioned earlier. I didn't make a purchase but could be tempted upon not fitting into certain things for certain functions etc...
Hesitant to wade into this one, but just want to say
PLEASE be careful about things that are "100% herbal"
Even in countries where regalations for "medications" are very strict (US, UK, etc) there are NO regulations for monitoring herbal ingredients. Basically there is no way to know if the amount of any particular ingredient is the same from bottle to bottle, from brand to brand. And really the only thing that "herbal" means is that it is "from plants", so "100% herbal" without any regulations...is just like "100% organic" (ANYTHING that was or is living is considered organic) without regulations about the labelling.
AND there is just no telling how any particular person will react to these medications or "herbal complexes," especially if they are on any other medications as well.
This Phytoshape sounds like Guarana. At least that is the conclusion that I have drawn from the little that I can find out about Phytoshape. Guarana is an extract from a Brazilian fruit tree. You can find out more about Guarana here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guarana
Be very careful taking this stuff as it is often mixed with other products such as Ephedra, also known as Ma Huang. The main ingredient, Ephedrine, is chemically similar to amphetamine. The combination of both turned out to be a potentially deadly cocktail for people with cardiac problems and other medical conditions.
Not listing the ingredients would suggest how it gets into this country.

I checked it out in the Pharmacy yesterday, the ingredients are clearly labeled and Garcinia cambogia, Aloe Vera and Lactose are the ingredients, not Guarana as you have guessed.

I have lost a total of 12 kgs I only take Phytoshape, when I first started the diet for 2 weeks then when I hit a weight plateau, maybe a the most for a week at a time. It just helps me to stay motivated and not loose heart. I am on Weight watchers.co.uk on line and I try to excercise regularly. At the end of the day it is the healthy eating and exercise which shifts the weight. I have at least another 7 kgs to get to my goal weight. If I plateau again I will take Phytoshape to get me over that hurdle.

My friend start using the phytoshape since approximately one month. I am very curios to get the results fist hand and have asked her constantly how she feels. It looks like it works, because she lost about 5 kg.
I would strongly recommend you to see a nutritionist. Maybe there are some details how to take it, that you don't know. You know I am taking since 2 weeks another prescribed drug and in the beginning of the course have had problems with it only because in the same time I was taking Calcium supplements, that apparently shouldn't be mixed with it. But after I visited my doctor, it's alright.
So, don't wait - visit your GP.
I just bought my Phytoshape from the UpTown Mirdif pharmacy and am heading for a trial of one month. So, I guess after a month can tell you more about it. But any one I know, who have try it, says that it works.

DOes any one have a real sicentific information about the safety and efficacy of PhytoShape? We only know that it's a wieght loss product that contains (Garcinia, aloe vera and fiber), but a claim said that it contians REDUCTIL(R) (sibutramine) about 40-45 mg
Does anyone came accross this issue?
OMG, what is REDUCTIL(R) and is it harmfu?? I am on my eight box of Phytoshape. Maybe we should enquire at the Ministry of Health to provide us with some real information. Maybe that's why so little is available on the Internet about the Phytoshape. :-(((((((

You shouldn't worry. If it was harmful, by now we should have known. It is not something new. In fact its very popular and has been talked about it since at least 6 months on many Internet forums. Most of the ladies are quite pleased with the results. Besides, if it is some how dangerous, some one would have complained until now.
As I am understanding, it's available in all pharmacies all over Dubai at the price of AED 265.
I personally didn't try it as my weight is normal, but two friends are on it already 2-3 months and they have lost weight, maybe 6 to 8 kg. One is the wife of a Pharmacist and definitely they have studied the Phytoshape and won't take any risk.
About the Reductil, I too read for the first time, but will try to do a search on the Internet and let you know.

Thanks, I actually stop the phyto-shape since I read this. nothing happen it to me, only when I begun it made me go to the loo several times a day, but that's ok. I have taken before some detox formula and felt the same. Anyway, if it's written in the newspaper, can't be a rumour. Let see what the ministry of health will say :-((((((

some one wrote about the Reductil. I toke it for about 3 months. The most common side effects include insomnia, constipation, a dry mouth and small increases in blood pressure. You should drink lots of water. All together it's bearable and not really dangerous. I am alive ;-0

as I have been told, the Phytoshape has been withdrawn from the local market. I am not sure if you can still buy it in Dubai. In case you miss it, there are two other posts about the phytoshape and its side effects. Please check the newest posts. In one of it we comment on an article in Khaleej Times and in the other I wrote that Dr.Khadija from MOH confirmed that the Phytoshape has been stopped. Also I wrote about the Reductil and Debs post it an article about its side effects.
But in case you firmly decided to try it and are aware of the side effects, maybe you could order it trough the Internet. Thats only an option, I don't recommend as I am convinced otherwise.

I don't think that you can even buy it on the Internet. Yes, you can order it and pay for it, but how you will receive it? At the post office the authorities will confiscate the parcel.......or at least this is what Think.

I'm from Kuwait & we can buy it very easily .. & it is approved from our MOH .. My friend is a Pharmacist & he told me that it is totaly safe .. I lost 15 Kg in 2 months (daily workout).. In my opinion if it was bad then it would be banned from many countries !! any way if it was that bad then they must issue more warnings in the news papers .. not only one small article !!
I've been using PhytoShape now for three months - lost 13kg. Only side effects I've had were stomach cramps for the first couple of days and now dry mouth ... but that makes me drink lots of water!!! A couple of pharmacies I've been to have told me they are banned from displaying it but can get it for you within a couple of days - just ask!!

actually a close friend of mine is on Phyto Shape. She said the same: only in the beginning she had stomach problem and than her mouth felt dry. She toke it for more than 2 months and lost a significant amount. In fact when I saw her few days ago, her clothes were hanging on her. I alarmed her about the side effects, but she said that nothing wrong is going on with her..... Maybe for every one is different.
But for sure, I called by my self the MOH in Dubai and have been forward it trough several departments and employs until Dr. Khadija from the Pharmaceutical department confirmed that the Phyto Shape is withdrawn from the market.
Hi, I am using Phyto Shape for 2 months and I lost 11 KG. I never use any medicine and never tried any other weight loosing stuff ( as in general I dont believe in it or fear side effects), but this one was recomended and it is great. Yes I do sometimes have dry mouth, but so what...for these results...and by the way its even good as I am now drinking more water, which is healthy. Yes yes all these great preachers here..dont take it do exercise..thanks for the tip. If u work 13 hrs a day, and u have family...were is the time for this..

Hi all, whilst I too am overjoyed by the results; 16Kg in the first three months with the only side-effects being dry mouth which simply means more water intake, INSERT BOLD please note there are potential risks. Above all, anyone with doubts about their blood pressure level should not take it unless after a medical consultation.
Since I heard of the content of Sibutramine, I have reduced from the recommended dose of two pills per day to one and guess what.....I'm still going down in weight and I don't feel hungry pangs. Maybe it's because my stomach is anyway used of less food now. By the time I get to four months of Phytoshape, I expect to have lost the full 20 KG I needed to get off. At which point, I will take maybe one pill every 2-3 days until I am happy that the weight is not suddenly piling back on.

Just on the first day I felt my mouth dry and pulse was racing. since then things have been fine. Having said that I have not lost any weight yet although i stopped feeling hungry all the time. I also stopped eating junk food as a result. The chemists in UAE have stopped selling it but it is availabe in all the Nutrition shops. the other day I have spoken to a friend who was on Phytoshape before and who quit it because of the Reductil link. Anyhow, she said that now the Phytoshape is sold in the nutrition shops instead of the pharmacies. I can't confirm if this is true or not, but you can always check and find out. Maybe some moderate dose could be of help...............

After searching frantically i finally got my hands on phytoshape at a pharmacy at mazaya centre 1st floor ..the retail price was 265dhs.
its just been 2 days that ive been taken phytoshape ,i definately can feel the dehydration,dry mouth n throat etc but it just encouraged me to drink more water.yesterday i drank 3 litres and today about 2.5 .My appetite seems to be supressed as well.i cant wait to see some results at the end of 2 weeks.I am now 60 kgs will post another update on 12june with my new weight!! Hi, I have been taking phytoshape for the last 19 days and lost around 4 kgs. Initially i did not have too many side effects but for the last few days i have been getting a very bad headache and i started spotting well before my cycle was due. i am convinced that any drug which helps to lsoe weight can be bad, but i desperately need to lose weight. I have insulin resistance and also PCOD. My doctor adviced that weight loss will get both problems under control and help in concieving. i am not sure what i should do... should i continue taking phytoshape knowing that it is affecting my moods and has side effects, but at the same time helps in controlling my insulin resistance?

I have been taking PhytoShape for the last 3 weeks and did little of exercising and weight control and I have already lost 6kg. I am happy that I have lost this weight even though little as my target is to lose 30kgs but at least for the first time I was able to lose something. People now notice that I have lost some weight. I wish I don't have to take the pills but I think they are helping me to lose weight as after taking them I feel full and can't eat as much as before. I normally take them half an hour to one hour before breakfast and somehow I get nauseated feelings, dry mouth and stomach cramps. My bowel movements have changed too and have been frequent too. I drink more water and go to the toilet more frequent. I am scared of the side effects but I still want to continue taking them until I reach my target weight or somewhere near. I am obese and it hasn't been easy to lose the weight and anything helps!
